Otuoke 2026/2027 School Fees: What New and Returning Students Will Pay
Share

Federal University Otuoke has approved its schedule of student charges for the 2026/2027 session. It sets out what new and returning students will pay, and the amount depends on the faculty.

The most important line is the first one in the schedule: tuition is free for every student, at every level and in every faculty. The charges below are what students pay on top of that.

How the charges are grouped

The university divides students into new students (100 Level) and returning students (200 to 500 Level). Within each category, fees vary across four faculty groups:

  • Education (Art and Business), Humanities, Management and Social Sciences
  • Science, Science Education and Engineering
  • Medical Lab, Nursing and Basic Medical Sciences
  • Law

Student charges and faculty dues

These are the two payments that change from one faculty group to another.

Other payments

Every student pays SUG dues of ₦3,500, whatever their level or faculty.

New students have a few extra items on their list: a clearance fee of ₦80,000, an IFS Book charge of ₦15,500, and campus communication dues (CUG) of ₦3,000.

Accommodation is optional and costs ₦40,000.

What it adds up to

Adding up the items above gives a rough idea of what a student should prepare for. These totals leave out accommodation unless stated.

Education (Art and Business), Humanities, Management and Social Sciences₦207,500₦247,500₦87,000
Science, Science Education and Engineering₦219,500₦259,500₦99,000

Law₦239,500₦279,500₦121,000

Before paying anything, students and parents should confirm the amounts through the university’s official channels, since the bursary has the final say on what applies to each student.
