Admiralty University of Nigeria (ADUN), located in Ibusa, Delta State, has announced the date for its 9th Matriculation Ceremony. Newly admitted students will be formally welcomed into the university at the event.
Date, time and venue
- Date: Friday, 30 October 2026
- Time: 11:00 a.m. prompt
- Venue: Vice Admiral Dele J. Ezeoba Multipurpose Hall, ADUN
The university has asked for punctuality, so anyone attending should plan to be at the venue before the start time.
Who is invited
The university has congratulated all newly admitted students and described the ceremony as an important milestone. Members of the university community, parents and guardians are invited, and so is the general public. If you have a child, relative or friend starting at ADUN, you are welcome to come and celebrate with them.
What matriculation means for a new student
For anyone new to the term, matriculation is the formal event that marks a student’s official entry into the university. Admission gets you a place, but the ceremony is where the school welcomes its new students as part of the academic community. Many Nigerian universities treat it as a major date on the calendar, and families often attend to mark the start of a degree programme.
If you are a new student at ADUN, make sure you know how to get to the venue and what the school expects you to wear or bring, since the announcement does not cover those details. Your faculty or the university’s administration can confirm them.
