Students of Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku (DSPG) now know how the first semester of the 2026/2027 session will run. The school has released its calendar, and the session begins on Monday, October 26, 2026. Fresh students start registration the next day.
Starting the session
Returning students begin registration on November 2, with one exception. National Diploma (ND) II students on the Students’ Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) follow a different timetable. For everyone else, lectures start on November 6, 2026.
The ND II SIWES group resumes later. Returning ND II students begin both registration and lectures on January 4, 2027.

What to plan around
Registration stays open until January 22, 2027, but waiting that long is risky. Lectures begin in early November, and getting registered early means you won’t fall behind from the start.
The calendar also has several interruptions in the middle of the semester, including the two election breaks in January and February and the Eid holiday in March. Students should plan their study time around these gaps, since lectures end on March 12 and exams start just ten days after the revision week begins.
Easter break comes right in the middle of the exam period, so check your exam timetable carefully when it is released.
